Exercise Snacking

Looking for something more achievable, consistent and effective when it comes to your health and fitness?

Exercise is hard for some to get their head around for more than one reason but what has never changed in a lifetime is that exercising your heart, sweating and weight bearing exercise is and will always be promoted to maintain good balanced health.

When we exercise at a moderate level long enough to puff and sweat we balance hormones, flush out toxins, release feel good endophins, improve mental well being, descrease stress, improve circulation and mobility through muscles and their joints, improve sleep, promote a full body reset, burn calories eaten, promote healthier food choices mind-to-gut, improve motivation, dopamine levels and much more.

So given this I invite you to try cardio snacking...... If you don't exercise to the point of a sweat and puff at all incorporate a snack of cardio into everyday for just 10mins a day into your weekly regime. If you miss a day ensure you do 20mins the following day and get back on the horse/back into your daily routine the day following again. It's the consistency that pays dividends and will give you results over time but is so achievable for everyone! If you are one to already have a day or 3 of 30-60mins fitness and strength sessions in your weekly regime then add in between on every other day 10min cardio blocks at a fast enough rate that sweats and makes you puff. Cardiovascular exercise has the ability to keep you lean but you must choose an activity that makes you sweat and puff for the entire time. I love running as it used every muscle in the entire body.

As we grow older we tend to become overly busy, distracted, full of excuses, prioritise differently, lose focus on ourselves and forget how to stay mobile, pain free, energetic, happy, healthy and fit but the concept does'nt change - You are what you eat and we become what we do. Of course along the way we are handed set backs and hurdles to jump over but at the end of the day your mind set will always be your reality. We can learn to become more connected with out bodies if we want to. Work with what you have, listen to your body along the way and adjust to live your healthiest happiest life because on your journey don't we all want the same thing? Longevity.....
